Ford STEM Community Challenge

Announcing the Inaugural Ford STEM Community Challenge

Ford Motor Company is reaching out to Ford NGL high school career academies to request proposals for the inaugural, innovative grant-making initiative: The Ford STEM Community Challenge: Building Sustainable Communities. At Ford, we understand that to be a truly sustainable organization, we must play an active role in the larger community and help to address a wide range of vital issues – from education to safety to mobility.

This initiative is designed to empower students to design projects which use a STEM approach to catalyze sustainable solutions that address critical issues in their communities.

Winning proposals will creatively address a tangible, unmet need that addresses the issue of building a sustainable community. Participants are urged to think broadly and explore a variety of potential topics, including infrastructure and workforce needs, education pipeline issues, design issues, new approaches to student volunteerism, etc., with a STEM focus.

Up to two (2) winning proposals will be selected to each receive $10,000 and up to six (6) proposals will be selected to each receive $5,000 from Ford Motor Company to support implementation of the proposed projects.
