Stepping Up to be a Community Convening Organization: What You Want to Know

Description of Course: Want to have a better understanding of what a community convening organization is and the role it plays in community-connected transformation? 

Then start here. We will share information that will help both the district and a potential convening organization better understand what that role generally looks like. This course will help everyone involved in decision-making about the convening organization gain a solid foundational understanding, so that they can engage with, and better utilize their Ford NGL Community Coach(es) to solidify a community’s convening organization. 

Goals of the Course:

• Share what a convening organization is and why a variety of organization can serve in the role
• Learn about some of the key characteristics of an effective community convening organization
• Understand key roles and responsibilities of an effective convening organization
