Marc Hill

Community Coach

Marc Hill is a Ford Next Generation Learning community coach with extensive leadership experience in business and community organizations.  While Marc’s current focus is to support communities implementing the FNGL transformational model and facilitating the creation of powerful business-education partnership systems, he first joined FNGL in 2022 to help connect high schools in Central Kentucky and West Tennessee to the thousands of new career opportunities being created at Ford’s new Battery Electric Vehicle plants.

Prior to joining FNGL, Marc served as President of the Civic Council of Greater Kansas City, an organization representing the CEOs of many of the KC region’s largest employers. In his 11 years as Chief Policy Officer at the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, he collaborated with Metro Nashville Public Schools as a founding partner of the Academies of Nashville. Marc also partnered with the school district during his time in city hall as the Director of the Mayor’s Office of Children and Youth under Nashville Mayor Bill Purcell and draws on his five years of state policy experience as staff in the Tennessee House of Representatives.

When he’s not thinking about the transformation of schools and community partnerships, he loves to dote on his two adult daughters, collect vinyl records, discover craft breweries, and travel overseas to cheer on his favorite soccer team.
