Hans Meeder has a history that goes back a long way with Ford NGL. We first approached Hans when he was transitioning out of his role of Deputy Assistant Secretary, Office of Vocational and Technical Education at the Department of Education. At the time, we were looking to build a knowledgeable team of education experts from business and education and Hans had a policy background that we felt would round out our new advisory council.
Hans was key in helping us develop our first iteration of Ford NGL (previously called Career Academy Innovation Community) and supported this work through the launch of Ford NGL. Hans has remained a good friend and colleague in this work and Cheryl Carrier, Executive Director of Ford NGL is pleased to share a review for his new book, Preparing Tomorrow’s Workforce, How to help every young person navigate their personal career path.
“Imagine if all young people had the opportunity to better understand their strengths, motivations, aptitudes, and passions while at the time learning their academics in a meaningful way by exploring possible careers through a career-connected approach. The authors of this book deserve our thanks for putting together this guide to help adults ensure career navigation tools meet the needs of our future leaders.”
