Regina Phillips

Powerful Partnership Coach

Meet Regina Phillips: a workforce development, communications and education enthusiast with over 25+ years of experience transforming communities and creating opportunities! From collaborating with business, education, and government leaders to creating innovative community resources, Regina has done it all.

As the Senior Director of Special Projects at KentuckianaWorks (Greater Louisville’s Workforce Board), Regina manages a $2.7 million budget, leading a team of six to support the award-winning Academies of Louisville, an innovative initiative within Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) designed to bridge the gap between education and the workforce. By partnering with over 200 businesses, this initiative offers students in 15 public high schools hands-on learning experiences that align with industry needs, ensuring they graduate with the skills necessary for career and life success.

Regina has worn many hats in her career (some of them Derby hats!), from teaching adult education and managing a communications department to leading a college access center and running a one-stop career center.  Her focus is always on expanding opportunities and forging strong partnerships. Whether she’s boosting business and community support for the Academies of Louisville or developing major community resources like KentuckianaEARNS.com, Regina is dedicated to making a positive impact and driving success in every project she tackles.

Regina is thrilled to be Coach for Ford Next Generation Learning (FNGL), assisting clients in establishing the systems, structures, processes, and tools necessary for crafting powerful partnerships in their own communities.

Regina knows the importance of building strong partnerships in all aspects of life. She lives in Louisville, KY—the home of horse racing and bourbon—with her husband, teenage daughter, and a cute rescue dog named Lulu.
