Strand Two – Transforming the Secondary School Experience

The Ford NGL Designation is an opportunity to celebrate the work the district and the community have done to collaboratively create a vision to improve student and workforce outcomes, to build consensus around that vision and to develop a plan to implement the vision.

Ford and Nashville Public Schools teamed up to produce a series of ads highlighting how much Academies of Nashville students can accomplish with real-world community-driven education.

Todays students crave real-world, authentic, experiences. Akron public schools has partnered with national, regional and local organizations, and community leaders to create a revolutionary new approach to high school education.

Recognized by the White House as a national high school transformation model, the Academies of Nashville provide students with one of the best college and career prep programs in the nation.

Romeo, MI High School students studying advanced math and science had the opportunity to visit Ford Motor Company’s Romeo Engine Plant and study how theoretical concepts can be applied to making some of the world’s best engines.
